John Smith (ジョン・スミス? Jon Sumisu) is a CIA agent operating in Japan. He has worked with Oreille in the past.

AppearanceEdit

Smith has long brown hair, a small patch of hair below his mouth and a scar across his left eye. He wears stylish red sunglasses and a business suit.

PersonalityEdit

Smith claims to be a coward and during his discussions with Oreille, he repeats a lot of phrases and sayings.[1]

S2E3 Oreille meets John Smith

John Smith meets with Oreille.

Smith contacts Madam Oreille in Egypt, requesting her assistance. He states that the organisation has made a move to obtain Izanagi[1] in regards to finding out what happened to Hei after going rogue against the CIA when he went to hide in Japan.

During the awakening of Izanami, Smith attempts to notify Oreille that the location of her appartment has been compromised. He accompanies American troops to Sunshine Aquarium in Tokyo, where he stops Genma Shizume from destroying Mikhail Pavlichenko's corpse, noting that his memories could contain valuable intelligence.Genma critises the CIA man for being late but cooperates.[2]

S2E12 John Smith

Smith oversees the monitoring of Hell's Gate.

He manages to get Genma to cooperate with him and his forces, and, while putting Mikhail's corpse through the M.E. Squeezer, he monitors the situation at Hell's Gate. After Izanami and Izanagi meet, Smith and a handful of American soldiers venture inside the Gate. They come across what seems to be a male version of Yin lying inside a coffin amidst a field of flowers, who proceeds to extract Smith's soul, killing him instantly.[3]
