Luc was a Contractor who was hired to persuade Kōzō Tahara to rejoin Meyer & Hilton by kidnapping Mai Kashiwagi, his daughter.
Appearance[]
Luc is a tall black man with dark, shoulder length hair which is tied back in braids. He wears a black suit with a turquoise shirt and grey tie.[1]
Personality[]
Like most Contractors, Luc exhibits little emotion or personality. However, when he stops Tahara from killing Mai, he smiles until he realizes that Hei has taken advantage of his distraction.
Abilities[]
Luc can create weapons from air.
Wind Manipulation: He has the ability to manipulate air around him and solidify it into weapons from daggers, spears and whips with amazing cutting ability.[1]
- Obeisance: His Obeisance takes the form of a compulsion to crease the corners of every page in a book.[1]
Part in the Story[]
The Black Contractor[]
Luc is killed by Hei.
Luc is assigned as part of a mission to secure the services of Kōzō Tahara by capturing his daughter, Mai, to use as leverage over him. He is partnered with Kenneth[2] and as they conduct their mission, they discover that Mai is a Moratoria, which they had not been informed about. Luc finds the zoned out Mai in a playground and kills the police officers preparing to arrest her. He then manages to capture her and keeps her in a warehouse. While waiting at the warehouse, he notices Hei's arrival and fights the Contractor, breaking Hei's knife and knocking the catwalk out from underneath him. Hei gets away and before they can come to blows again, Tahara arrives at the warehouse. While hugging his daughter, Tahara tries to stab Mai. Luc uses his ability to disarm Tahara and ends up killing him. He is then caught unawares by Hei, who kills him.[1]
