The Dog is an apparent high ranking member of the Syndicate. It apparently is very interested in the evolution of Yin and Hei's movement.
Synopsis
Gaiden 1
After Hei kills three Syndicate contractors, the dog appears and makes its appearance known to Hei and Yin. However, Hei brushes off the appearance as a stray animal.
After Hei saves Yin from the Syndicate, the dog appears again to speak with an illusionary Contractor identified as Claude. The contractor and him make it obvious that they are interested in Yin's growing powers.

It is currently unknown what abilities the Dog possesses or even if it does have powers. Currently, however, it is at least capable of speech, implying that its abilities may well be similar to those of Mao's.
